C Shift backs up E16 on a Fully Involved Structure Fire **VIDEO POSTED**
Fri. Nov 16th 2007

E18 responded to the 9200 block of SE 7 Ave for a reported structure fire.  Dispatch advised the responding units that the caller could see flames shooting through the roof.  E16 was first on scene followed by Batt 2, Dist 3 and  E18.  Command initiated a defensive attack.

E16 pulled a 2 1/2, E18 deployed their deck gun.  After the initial attack the fire was knocked down but all efforts to extinguish the blaze were hampered by a lack of water supply.  The home was a total loss due to the progression of the fire at the time of dispatch.  The alarm assignment was completed by Engine and Tanker 24, Engine and Rescue 17, Tanker 21 and Tanker 28.

In the video you can see the advance stage of the fire when E18 arrived as second due engine.  The fire attack occuring on sides one and three are not visible in the video.  Sorry no audio on video.
