Mon. Jun 29th 2009 You guys do a great job. My father, Tommy Lawrence, was a long standing member of Station 6. Being the captain of the station when it was still volunteer and a career man in Lake County, I didn't get to see him much. But, I really appreciate everything you guys do. I remember coming to the station and especially Station 27 when I was a kid. You guys and your station will always have a place in my memories. Its really awesome to see you guys be so enthusiastic about your job and your lifestyle. But, it runs in the blood, because even after leaving Florida and Firefighting behind I had to continue the career. Its a family business. Be safe guys. - James Lawrence

Mon. Mar 16th 2009 Dear Gentlemen of Firehouse 18,
It has come to the attention of the W.A.S. organization that once again the gentlemen of said firehouse are choosing to participate in the madness known as Mustache March. Please know that the wives of the men at the 18 House are not amused with this stunt. Also know that your testosterone levels stay the same--regardless of the amount of facial hair grown--and therefore beards, gotees and mustaches to not add to one's "manliness".
Please note that kissing, cuddling and other signs of affection are subsequently denied until: 1) Mustache March is over, or 2) You cave in and shave your once handsome faces.
The W.A.S appreciates your help in swiftly ending this horrible display of unruly facial hair!
Sincerely, - President, W.A.S.-Wives Against 'Staches
